Our workshop is a reflection of fully integrated manufacturing and a secretly guarded recipe: each step, from mixing the elements to making the molds and the final enamel, is carried out in Gien according to exclusive formulas and specific expertise.

To bring Gien dinnerware and other items to life, we rely on three precise firings, twenty-six distinct components, and the expert touch of thirty master ceramists, heirs to nearly two centuries of tradition.

Painter, ceramist, engraver, and decorator of objets d'art, Félix Bracquemond is considered the first artist in France to take an interest in Japanese art. His birds have proudly adorned the center of Gien plates since 1870.
