Chalet 2025

Christmas dessert plate - Chalet 2025

Regular price 56,00€

Description

This year, the chalet is adorned with natural decorations: mistletoe, berries, and fir branches. To create a striking contrast, red is used to highlight decorative stars, ribbons, and even the caretaker's niche. The snow delights the children, who revel in it, sledding and having snowball fights. Meanwhile, at the foot of the illuminated fir tree, their clogs patiently await being filled to overflowing.

Know-how

Gien earthenware is a living material born from the natural alchemy of sand, clay and kaolin, whose warm and sensual surface evokes a unique emotion.

Our workshop reflects a fully integrated manufacturing process and a secretly guarded recipe: each step, from mixing the elements to making the molds to the final enameling, is carried out in Gien according to exclusive formulas and specific know-how.

To bring Gien tableware and other items to life, we rely on three precise firings, twenty-six distinct components and the expert touch of thirty master potters, heirs to nearly two centuries of tradition.

Artistic Collaboration

Gien Creation

Gien's Creation Department imagines and develops all of these pieces, entirely conceived and produced by the teams of the Faïencerie.
From the initial design to the final shaping, each creation is born in the heart of the workshops, where designers and artisans combine their expertise. This in-house approach affirms Gien's artistic identity: pieces conceived, designed, and crafted on-site, a direct expression of the company's creativity and over two centuries of mastery in earthenware.
