A rising designer and graduate of the Duperré and Olivier de Serres schools of applied arts, Léa Zeroil launched her studio and gallery in 2020 at the age of 28, after working with India Mahdavi and then Laura Gonzalez as director of furniture collections. She collaborates with major companies such as Toulemonde Bochart, Nobilis, Frey, and others. Her creations bring sunshine into interiors. Passionate about the expertise of exceptional craftsmen, Léa Zeroil designs original pieces that are created in close collaboration. As part of the artist residency programme initiated by the Faïencerie de Gien, she chose to collaborate with craftspeople (Affaire d’enclumes and Mehdi Harzallaoui). ‘I worked with them differently. It wasn’t a commission from Gien but an invitation to create together. This had an impact on my design process. These creations would not have been possible without the Faïencerie and its teams, the moulders and the freehand painters. Gien enabled us to see our ideas through to fruition.’
