Fabrice Moireau

Fabrice Moireau, was born at Blois in 1962 and is a graduate of the ‘Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art (Higher National College of Applied Arts and Craft Trades). From his many trips abroad, he brings back books of sketches forming true ethnographic and cultural records. Passionately interested in architectural heritage, gardens and plants, he is constantly striving to express through his water colours the subtle plays of light and express the mood of a city, a street, countryside… His drawings, all sketched live from nature, have been used to illustrate many works : « Paris », published by Louis Vuitton, the catalogues of the Gardens and Parks Festival of Chaumont-sur-Loire, “Carnets d’une femme de Chambre”, published by Éditions du Conservatoire International des Parcs et Jardins et du Paysage, “Giverny”, by Gallimard, “Roses, mon carnet d’émotions” and “Les Fruits de ma Vie”, by Editions Georges Delbard.
Fabrice Moireau expresses his naturalist leanings elegantly in the « de Paris à Giverny » service that he has just conceived for the Spring-Summer Collection of 2009 of Gien.
